2026 Officers and Directors

GRACE SALES, PRESIDENT

Grace is a top-producing REALTOR® serving clients in the U.S. and the Philippines. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Stockholm University in Sweden and previously interned at the United Nations Secretariat in New York. In 2025, she was nominated for the Mayor’s Small Business Awards.

A passionate community advocate, Grace organizes an annual toy drive connecting Maui donors to children in the Philippines and volunteers at her local church. She is also an entrepreneur, owning a MoneyGram branch and Travelicious Expeditions, a travel agency. In her free time, she enjoys kitesurfing, painting, drums, chess, and time with her dog, Baxter.

CHRISTIAN GALAPON, VICE PRESIDENT

Christian is a young business development consultant, who has been instrumental in the creation and success of ventures such as Oao, Oao Sushi Go, Hachi, Nori on Wheels, OGO, and Aloha Prime Eatery. With expertise in marketing, IT, systems optimization, and regulatory compliance, Christian provides a strategic and well-rounded approach to building thriving businesses.



MASSY CASHEN-SUGUITAN, SECRETARY

Massy Cashen-Suguitan is a seasoned property management executive at Hawaiiana Management Company Limited, where she leads community and condominium associations in Maui. Her hands-on experience managing complex operations, supporting homeowner associations in maintaining, enhancing and protecting their community assets equips her with practical leadership and organizational skills. These strengths will help her contribute effectively to the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce in supporting its mission and helping local businesses thrive.

Massy holds a master’s degree in communications management and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Manila, Philippines, and is a licensed Hawaii Real Estate Sales Agent.

She is a Notary Public in Hawaii, a trained mediator, and has served as Past President of Women Helping Women in Maui. Massy Cashen is also an active volunteer with the American Red Cross.


WAYNE AGUIRAN, TREASURER

Wayne is an Academic Counselor at the University of Hawai'i Maui College. 

After receiving his Master’s degree in Social Work, he served as program director for the Ku‘ina program, which facilitates the successful transition of individuals to independence and self-sufficiency. He a certified facilitator for several programs, and has many years of voluntary experience with youth in school, church, and mental health settings.

Wayne is also a Financial Strategist and National Director of Exertus Financial Partners.


Dominic Suguitan, IMMEDIATE PAST President

Dominic is a Commercial Appraiser for American Savings Bank. He was born in the Big Island and grew up in Wailuku where he attended Baldwin High School, UH Maui College, then graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in communications. Before ASB, he was a Commercial Banking Officer at Central Pacific Bank, and he worked in the real estate appraisers industry. Throughout his career, Dominic served in various leadership positions in the community, and was the 2022 president for the Kiwanis Club of Kahului.



Virgilio “Leo” Agcolicol, Director

Manong Leo is a retired banker from Central Pacific Bank, where he served for 40+ years. He is a Vietnam veteran with the US Army and worked in the sugar fields farmed by Wailuku Sugar Company in 1967. He was the first Filipino serve on the board of the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, the Maui Memorial Hospital Foundation, the J. Walter Cameron Center, and the Salvation Army Advisory Board.

He served as President of the Maui Filipino Community Council for many years and has gained multiple recognitions and awards for his community service.


JARED AGTUONG, Director

Jared Sam Agtunong currently serves as an Executive Assistant for Maui County Councilmember Thomas Cook. He has previously served in grant writing and communications under former Maui County Mayor Michael P. Victorino. Born on Maui, and raised in Kahului, Jared is a graduate of Maui High School; holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Vanguard University, and a Master of Public Policy from Pepperdine University. Jared volunteers his time as a board member for Maui County Democrats, the Maui High School Community Council, and as a barista on Sunday mornings at his local church.


Kit Zulueta Furukawa, Director

Kit is a business owner and marketing consultant, providing creative solutions to corporate, small business and government clients. She served in various leadership positions in the County of Maui and UH Maui College, and worked for PBS Hawaii.

Her volunteer work includes serving for the Filipino Young Leaders Program, University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Hawaii, Japanese Cultural Society of Maui, Filipino Association of University Women, and Wailuku Community Association.

She runs Mystery Maui Escape Room and sells Maui Chili Chili Oil with her husband Deron. She hails from Baguio City, Balanga Bataan, Zambales and Quezon City, Metro Manila.


SHARON ZALSOS BANAAG, DIRECTOR

Sharon serves as Executive Assistant to Mayor Richard Bissen in the County of Maui. She previously worked in the County Dept. of Environmental Management, and is a consultant specializing in human resource management, and travel to the Philippines. She is a former Miss Maui Filipina, a veteran of the US Air Force, a Ka Ipu Kukui Fellow and starred as Kim in Broadway hit Miss Saigon for the Maui Academy of Performing Arts.

For many years, Sharon has served as president for the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce, and is a mom to 2 boys and 3 girls.


GLENN CASIL, DIRECTOR

Glenn is the General Manager for The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas resort, Ka’anapali. He also served as the General Manager for The Hyatt Vacation Club, Ka’anapali, and as the opening Director of Operations at the Westin Nanea. His experience spans over 40 years in Hawaii resorts. Born & raised on Maui, Glenn is a graduate of Maui High School. After earning his Associate of Arts Degree at the University of Hawai’i Maui College, he pursued his Bachelor of Business Management degree at the University of Hawai’i, Manoa campus; throughout his career, Glenn has served on various organizational councils. Glenn was a 2021 Gintong Pamana Leadership Award recipient of the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce.



JORGE TIRONA, Director

Jorge is a Vice President and Senior Commercial Underwriter/Relationship Officer with Central Pacific Bank in Kahului. Born in Washington DC and raised in New York, Hong Kong and Manila, he attended High School and College in Catholic universities in Manila before returning to DC to obtain an MBA in International Development Finance from The George Washington University and embark on a career in banking. He has lived on Maui since 2007 with his wife Margarita and two daughters. He is active on the tennis courts as well as on the Boards of the Maui Food Bank and the Maui Family Support Services, among others. 



LEN GONZALES, Director

Lennard Gonzales is the founder and chocolatier of Galleon Chocolate, a Maui-based brand celebrating Filipino and island flavors. 

In 2004, he founded a technology consulting firm in the SF Bay Area, developing financial, trading, and banking platforms for major brokerage firms and banks. 

Deeply community-focused, Len mentors young professionals, volunteers at food banks, works part-time as a Maui REALTOR, and supports initiatives that strengthen local entrepreneurship and economic growth. Born in Olongapo City, Philippines, Len grew up across the Pacific Rim—including Japan, Alaska, and California—shaping a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and communities. He also serves as General Manager of Sweet Paradise Maui Chocolatier.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing organized sports (softball and flag football), traveling, trying new foods, renovating homes, fostering dogs, and leveraging technology to simplify everyday life.


CHRIS RABANG, DIRECTOR

Chris is the General Manager of The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas and previously held the General Manager role at The Nanea Ocean Villas. He was born on Oahu and raised on Maui, where he lives today. He graduated from Santa Clara University in Northern California and has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. With more than 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, Chris held leadership positions for various properties in Samoa and French Polynesia. Aside from being the President of the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce, Chris serves on several other Boards, such as Binhi at Ani Advisory Board, Maui Visitors & Convention Bureau, UH Maui Campus Hospitality Advisory Committee, West Maui Benefit Fund, Ka’anapali North Beach Masters Association, Princeville Ocean Resort Association, and Owners for Kauai Resort Villas.
